the UK market on March.
Thousands units of the new Ford Focus is being transported with train from Ford’s factory in Germany to UK. It is said that this month, UK will receive more than 1,000 units per day.
The first productions of the new Ford Focus are destined for the UK market. Most of the cars are five-door models and nearly three-quarters of them are high-series Titanium models.
UK market in fact has the strongest demand for the new Ford Focus. It is therefore Ford decides to consigns the first productions of the car to UK. Those cars will begin their sales next month.
Ford’s European vice president, Roelant de Waard, Roelant promises that the new Ford Focus is a car with awesome looking. He adds the car must be unbeatable in its class and more appealing than the previous Ford Focus. Roelant believes that Ford Focus will get more fans in Europe.
The new Ford Focus, however, was developed to be a “global car”. The car will be available in more than 100 markets all over the world. The new Ford Focus is even being produced in Ford’s factory in USA. Later on, the car will also be produced in Russia.

he Korean automaker Kia has officially released details about the next generation Sportage SUVSportage. Sharing the same platform with its compatriot, the Hyundai Tucson, the 2011 Sportage looks to have the leg-up on the Tucson in terms of being a little bigger and wider, which should translate into having a roomier interior.
The design for the 2011 Sportage also seems to have benefitted from the supervision of Peter Schreyer, whose previous design work with Audi has seemingly translated into some of the aesthetic design cues that can be noticed in the new Sportage, including sharper curves, and a completely revamped front end that previous Sportage models didn’t come in.
Featuring a fresh, bold, athletic and sporty design; longer, lower and wider than the previous generation model, the new Sportage will offer more space for people and cargo, with improved ride quality thanks to the longer wheelbase; the new Sportage will go on sale later this year, with a choice of both diesel and gasoline engines following its debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show.

he first pictures or sketches of Picanto have been revealed by Kia. Kia claims that Picanto is the next generation of city car. The Picanto will be exhibited in March 2011 at the Geneva Motor Show and will be available in the market from late spring in the UK.
Although Kia is a Korean brand, but the Picanto has been designed by European design team which is established in Frankurt, Germany. And the current Chief Design Officer of Kia is an ex-Audi – Peter Schreyer. He is the man who oversees all of Kia’s design, including the Picanto

Now that Dodge and Ram are seperate groups under the Chrysler umbrella, Dodge plans to phase its trademark cross-hair grille out of its product lineup. The cross-hair nose will remain a part of the Ram truck lineup for the foreseeable future, but Dodge vehicles will get a new identity that has not yet been revealed.
Ralph Gilles, Dodge CEO and Chief Designer for the Chrysler Group, recently spoke to Automotive News about this decision. Gilles stated that this move will take time but the products will evolve and go in a different direction. In other words, no matter what direction Dodge takes its styling, don’t expect to see any wholesale changes until well after the 2011 model yea

orsche has begun the rollout of the first of three electric-powered Boxsters it has slated for field testing on German roads – essentially, the trio of Boxster E cars will be mobile laboratories that will provide practical, user-derived feedback and information on EVs, the company says.
Depending on the configuration, the Boxster E can be powered by a 29 kWh battery working with two electric motors, offering 180 kW output in total; there are no details on performance figures, but Porsche says the E is comparable to a Boxster S in terms of performance levels.
The company adds that the Boxster platform offers the ideal basis for the electric drive system’s practice-oriented testing, allowing the new components, electric motor, battery and high voltage components to be easily and safely accommodated. As yet, no announcement has been made as to whether the car is planned for serial production

We’ve known since mid last year that Lancia will sell rebadged Chryslers after Fiat bought a stake in the American company. The Lancia Delta appeared at last year’s Detroit show as a Chrysler and the upcoming Geneva show will see the just revamped Chrysler 300 show up in Switzerland as a Lancia, the new Lancia Thema to be exact.
This revives the Thema nameplate, which Lancia used for its big saloon in the 80s. If the original Thema was famous for having a version that used a Ferrari V8 engine, today’s Thema will be motivated by less exciting powerplants. There will be three V6 options – Chrysler’s 292 hp/353 Nm 3.6L Pentastar V6 with an 8-speed automatic ‘box and two 3.0L diesels (190 or 224 hp) with a 5-speed auto. All are Euro 5 compliant.
The petrol has the best performance figures – top speed of 230 km/h and 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds – but the Italian VM supplied oil burners will be more popular in Europe, especially the higher powered version
Lancia focuses on style and luxury these days, so their 300 will get an option of Nappa leather and a Poltrona Frau leather-covered dashboard, as well as real wood inserts on the centre console, panels, doors and steering wheel. The seats feature four-way lumbar adjustment with up/down and front/back direction actuators and density adjuster plus S-shaped “serpentine spring suspension”. Best in class cabin isolation is also talked about. The two trim levels are called Gold and Platinum.with 550 Nm from 1,600-2,800 rpm.

lso converted is the Chrysler 200 sedan and convertible, which will be called the Lancia Flavia, reviving a nameplate from the 1960s. This younger brother to the Chrysler 300 is a revamped Sebring with a new name, in hope that it will offer better challenge to mid-sized stalwarts like the Camry and Accord. sofcloth t top.TheConvertible was unveiled last month. It’s a four-seater with the choice of a retractable hard top or a
Those who remember the old days where Lancias were beautiful, exotic and race winning will cringe at the sight of these. I’ve unearthed something and would like to share it with you. Look out for it after the jump

We showed you the Lancia Thema in the previous post, which is essentially a Chrysler 300 with an Italian name, and here are the other members of the new Chrysler based Lancia range of cars. Meet the Lancia Grand Voyager and the Lancia Flavia sedan and converti
Like the Thema, these “new Lancias” are largely unchanged from the American cars they were based on, and in the case of the MPV, Lancia didn’t even bother changing its name! The Voyager has been a mainstay in the segment for 27 years now, selling thirteen million units in 120 countries in the process, so perhaps that’s why Lancia isn’t changing its identity. The Grand Voyager replaces Lancia’s previous MPV, Phedra, which is a twin of the Citroen C8 and Fiat Ulysse.

15th February 2011

has certainly been a dream debut for the Ford Fiesta RS World Rally Car, with the vehicle making for a 1-2-3 finish at the Rally Sweden last Sund
Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team’s Mikko Hirvonen – and Jarmo Lehtinen – won the opening round of the FIA World Rally Championship by just 6.5 secs from Mads Østberg and Jonas Andersson. The Castrol Edge-backed Ford Abu Dhabi team rounded off the podium spots with Jari-Matti Latvala and was Ford’s first podium clean sweep since Rally Sweden in 2008, when Latvala claimed his maiden WRC win and was followed home by Hirvonen and Gigi Galli. Hirvonen’s victory, his 13th, makes him Ford’s most successful WRC driver, edging him ahead of former team-mate Marcus Grönholm.
Khalid Al Qassimi and Michael Orr, driving the team’s Fiesta RS WRC for the satellite Team Abu Dhabi squad, finished 10th. Seven-time world champion Sebastian Loeb finished in sixth place.Miikka Anttila thi

you want to park your riding pants in the saddle of the 2012 BMW K 1600 GT or the K 1600 GTL, get ready to hand over a stack of shiny pennies. BMW has officially released pricing on both bikes, and the K 1600 GT will set you back a lofty yet reasonable $20,900 without the $495 destination charge.
Sounds like a hefty chunk of change, no? It is, no doubt, but it’s also just $200 more than the base price for the K1200 LT that it’s replacing. Delving a little deeper in BMW’s model range, the K 1300 GT goes for $19,150 or $22,595 with the optional Premium Package.
For that 20K-plus stack of cash, you’re rewarded with niceties such as a dynamic-leveling xenon headlight, a heated seat and grips, ABS and a power-adjustable windshield among other tricks. Of course, all of that kit is strapped onto the company’s 160 horsepower, 1,649 cc engine. The mill is good for 129 pound-feet of torque, all of which is available from just 1,500 rpm.
Opting for the K 1600 GTL will add on even fancier gadgetry like Bluetooth, satellite radio and iPod integration in addition to body-color top cases. If you like the sound of that dance, get ready to tap your toes to the sound of $23,200 plus destination.
Want one? We’d get your BMW dealer on speed dial pronto – BMW has also announced that it’ll stop taking preorders for the new K-series hotness at the end of February due to unexpectedly high demand. Hit the jump for the press release.
